Coming off his first F4 victory last month at the Circuit of the Americas, Will DeLaRosa, 16 of Pebble Beach, CA will officially kick off his 2020 West Coast F4 championship pursuit this weekend, with a double-header at Thunder Hill Raceway in Willows, California.

DeLaRosa drives the #13 Del Monte Aviation/International Jet/Ligier for Margraf Racing.  He made his F4 debut in January, competing in Exclusive Racing’s four-race winter series. He scored a double podium at Sonoma and finished second overall in the series. He then turned his focus to the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas where a last-minute opportunity arose to compete in the F4 class of the “Hoosier Race Super Tour.” DeLaRosa swept the event, earning back-to-back F4 victories, “I am so excited to officially kick off the regular season. We had great results over the winter and I am well prepared for the season ahead.  I am focused on gaining as much experience as I can while achieving my goal of winning the series championship,” said DeLaRosa.  “I am really fortunate to have so much support behind me technically, with my team owner Bill Margraf, my engineer Kyle Brannan and my driver coach Alex Schutte.  Between them, they have countless championships and I am in a unique opportunity with their leadership.”

The F4 championship consists of 12 events at world-class racetracks on the west coast, including Sonoma Raceway, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and alongside IndyCar at Portland International Raceway.  Each event is a double-header, featuring two 30-minute races.  “Thunder Hill is my favorite track, so I am really happy to open the season there,” said DeLaRosa.  “It’s such a great track with plenty of challenges and characteristics, but my favorite section would be coming off the front straight into the fast, sweeping left turn that leads into the blind, off-camber right hander at turn two.”

DeLaRosa’s #13 open-wheel racer is a Ligier chassis and powered by Honda, with partnership by Del Monte Aviation, International Jet, Vail Valley Jet Center and Tivoli Lodge: “We are stacked with experience on the technical side of this program, but I am just as fortunate with my commercial partners.  I can’t thank them enough for the support and I look forward to representing them in victory circle.”
