History
I purchased this car used with 80,000. It was a daily driver/DE car for several years before becoming a dedicated track car. The engine was replaced in 2016 with a Carrera S 3.8 engine and rebuilt in 2019. A monoball suspension was installed in 2023. The front brakes were upgraded to 6 piston calipers in 2019 and a Bosch ABS system was installed in 2023. The stock PASM struts were replaced with Bilstein PSS struts and the PASM computer upgraded in 2013. A leak down test done in 2024 showed one cylinder at 10% and the other 5 cylinders at less than 10%. Too many other upgrades to list. See the description above.
Current Issues
The car is ready for track use in its current condition. There is some smoking on engine startup which can be completely resolved by combining the engine oil with Lucas Oil Stabilizer at a ratio of 5:1 oil:Lucas. There is one small dent below the driver’s door otherwise the body is in excellent shape. There is no rust in the body or undercarriage.
