Facilitation Services Overview

Service Details

EXR coordinates a full suite of facilitation services for buyers and sellers — from pre-purchase inspections and escrow to professional media, transport, and title work. Use what you need; skip what you don’t.

Facilitation services are provided through EXR or our vetted third-party partner network and are available on every Platinum Service listing. Services are à la carte and never required — buyers and sellers may select only the services relevant to their individual transaction. Fees are quoted before engagement and are separate from EXR’s 5% Sales Premium.

Free CARFAX Reports

Service Details

EXR provides free CARFAX Vehicle History Reports™ on eligible listings. CARFAX reports give buyers transparency into a vehicle’s ownership, accident, and service history — and build confidence before they commit.

CARFAX availability depends on the VIN and reported history. Not applicable to race cars, engines, or non-VIN assets.

Photo Pro Packages

Service Details

Strong media drives strong results. EXR offers professional photography packages through our third-party partner network — from high-resolution gallery photography to cinematic video — so your listing is presented at its absolute best.

Package options range from one-hour shoots to fully custom engagements. A full quote is provided before scheduling. Availability normally varies by location.

Pre-Purchase Inspections (PPI)

Service Details

EXR coordinates professional pre-purchase inspections through our nationwide network of ASE-certified inspection partners. A PPI gives buyers confidence and transparency about the true condition of a listing before they commit.

The PPI is at the Buyer’s discretion and expense, scheduled within the 7-day PPI window of our 7-7-72 transaction timeline. Buyers may also conduct an in-person inspection themselves or through their own agent, subject to Seller agreement.

PPIs are not required but are strongly recommended on every vehicle purchase. If a PPI reveals a Major Undisclosed Defect, the transaction may be cancelled — see Section 9 of our Terms of Service for refund and chargeback details.

Transport & Shipping

Service Details

EXR coordinates enclosed and open transport through our white-glove transportation partners — domestic and international. Our partners specialize in the safe, secure transport of race cars and high-performance vehicles, handled with the care your asset deserves.

The 72-hour delivery window of our 7-7-72 timeline begins the moment the Seller confirms full payment.

Escrow Services

Service Details

EXR coordinates secure escrow through licensed third-party providers (e.g., Escrow.com) to protect both Buyer and Seller throughout the transaction.

EXR is not an escrow agent. Funds are held by the third-party provider until purchase prerequisites — PPI completion, ownership documentation, and payoff of any outstanding financing — are satisfied, then released to the Seller.

Escrow is strongly recommended on all high-value transactions. Fees and terms are set by the escrow provider.

DMV, Title & Registration

Service Details

EXR coordinates nationwide DMV, title, and registration services through our third-party partners to safely and securely transfer ownership from Seller to Buyer across all 50 U.S. states. Services include completion of all tax, title, and licensing paperwork, documentation audits, DMV follow-up, and direct shipment of license plates to the Buyer.

Negotiations & Trades

Service Details

Trade Coordination

Looking to trade rather than buy outright? EXR can structure asset-for-asset and asset-plus-cash trades between platform members — including valuation alignment, simultaneous title transfer, and escrow coordination across both sides of the deal.

Trades are not handled by the platform’s automated Counter-Offer mechanic. Our team manages them end to end.

Concierge Negotiation Support

EXR’s Make Offer / Counter-Offer mechanic handles most buyer/seller negotiations natively on the platform — Accept, Decline, or Counter-Offer, with 72-hour response windows on both sides.

For complex or stalled deals — or transactions that benefit from a neutral intermediary beyond the standard 72-hour cycle — our team is available to step in and help close.

Brokerage Services

Service Details

Looking for something specific that isn’t on the marketplace? EXR’s worldwide brokerage service handles the entire acquisition — search, negotiation, financing, and delivery. Race car, classic, or one-off exotic, our team runs the search.

Finance Services

Service Details

EXR partners with a network of regional and national lenders — including specialists in exotic, performance, and racing vehicles — to offer buyers a range of financing options. Customized loan and lease programs are designed around your specific needs. Get pre-approved through our network before you bid or buy.

Services are provided through EXR or our vetted third-party partner network. EXR is not responsible for the services, conduct, or performance of any third-party provider — see Section 13 of our Terms of Service.
All facilitation services are provided at additional cost unless otherwise noted. Fees are quoted before engagement.
Facilitation fees are separate from and in addition to EXR’s 5% Sales Premium.
Any fees associated with facilitation services are charged to the applicable Buyer or Seller payment method on file.
